TMPAC manages the Prescribed Body Corporate, and Directors on the Board are elected by the community. The Board are regulated by Australian Corporate law and Indigenous Laws. Mantjiljarra Yulparirra is the land management company that has responsibility for managing Indigenous Rangers and Country, especially the Matuwa and Kurrara Kurrara National Park, Lake Carnegie Class A Nature Reserve and Ululla Pastoral Lease.

TMPAC has a governance structure that mirrors the traditional decision making structure of the Native Title holding group. Decisions that are made through TMPAC are based around collective Native Title rights and this entails collective decision-making. All activities that impact on recognised Native Title rights and interests need to be presented to TMPAC for consideration.

Smaller management decisions (i.e. those that do not affect native title rights and interests) will be made by a Matuwa and Kurrara Kurrara IPA Management Team. Representation on the IPA Management Team is based on those with rights to speak for country, and the team will be responsible for implementing the Matuwa and Kurrara Kurrara IPA Country Plan.

The Wiluna Native Title holders recognise there is significant interest and investment in Matuwa and Kurrara Kurrara from researchers and other visitors, and acknowledges the need for a system that encourages partnerships while at the same time respects the rights and interests of the Native Title holder community. This system will need to be approved by TMPAC prior to implementation.

Documents for Tarlka Matuwa Piarku Aboriginal Corporation, including financial and general reporting, can be accessed here (from the ORIC website).

Directors work hard to ensure they are actively involved in at all meetings.

The Board is supported by management, financial and administration staff to ensure governance, accounts and structure are maintained.
